This website has articles from newspapers about different disasters that have occured in the U. S. and Canada. You can filter by location and type of disaster or year. There is also a search box in which you can search for a surname but since there is no advanced options to the search feature this can return a lot of results. You can use the site without an acount but to add and article or post to the message board you will need one. Accounts are free.
