Cyber Security
- SK recapped emails from Mayor Turner and Rick Perales regarding staff use of computers with non-approved services.
- AK explained how to help patrons access their personal accounts using public computers and wifi.
Ref Tracker
- SB recommended keeping a daily tally sheet and entering totals at the end of the work day. He also reminded us to keep tallies on both reference tracking systems.
Joy – Virtual conference
- SK mentioned JO’s participation in upcoming weekend conference.
Joy – HPL YouTube
- JO demonstrated HPL YouTube channel, showing how to find the HPL History Research Centers. She explained the video workflow from virtual webinar to YouTube post is still being developed, and is delayed by Communications Dept. re-org.
Consultation Computers
- SK reminded that consultation computers should be reserved for patron consultations. A patron requesting to use one for research should be encouraged to use one of the public computers, or to Consult 2.
- SB reported the IP address issue has not been resolved yet. Patrons experiencing connection issues using public computers may have to be moved from one network connection to another.
